HAY carramba...

THings are great... so when success comes, the trials come at you like the tsunami that his haiti.... this week was so hard... Seriously.  If you can imagine calling every investigator a night before to meet with you the next day, then have everything fall through in that day... that is what happened... EVERY DAY! haha it was great.

Seriously nothing huge happened.  I have two cool experiences tho...

The first is that yesterday.. we had a ton of appointments after church and we have to go visit all the investigators after church to yell at them and ask why they didnt come..;) haha so things were looking super good right... wrong... visited every person and everything fell through. the tema of the week.  So during the whole week we passed this one street and i always wanted to contact it... but i never did.  We really ran out of things and people to visit. so we did! We contacted this street. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY WAVING FINGERS IN MY FACE IN MY WHOLE LIFE TIME:  that street was so long.  it took an hour to touch every door.  the last house we touched..... invited us to come back and excepted a book of mormon.  IT TOOK ONE HOUR TO GET TO HIS HOUSE:  i started to think about that experience a lot... and how god sends us through all these hard trials to test us.  I think he was testing the dilegence that we have a missionaries, to see if we are worthy to teach this child of his.  THis guys name was cristian.  SUper cool and very receptive. Hopefully something good comes out from it!... one hour... haha

The other one was we had a terrible day earlier in the week, and it was a hour before time to go home... i told my comp... bueno, una casa mas... he agreed. The first house we went to, this chica came out and invited us in.  We then taught the restauration to them, and set baptisms dates for may second.  IT was great! but they already dropped us... haha but i learned that if we stay diligent though the day, god will give us a chance to testify of his gospel! is was great!! i love those experiences... even tho they are super hard!!!

other than that, the hermanas baptized one lady they found that week i was able to inspire them, and they asked me to baptize her!! it was great!! i will send photos!!

I modified my moms dicho...
Trust in the lord,
Obedience,
Sacrifice,
Stand Strong

i learned a lot of the law of sacrofice this week.  I will sacrofice myself for his work!! i love you guys!

Keep it super cool!! love you guys more than a mama bear loves her young!!

ps you remember beau mccarlie??? on of my bestfriends from provo... HES IN MY MISSION:  he lived right by days market!!

Hola familia..
¿VISTE?

Cuidense mucho!

Meet the Mormon night at the local theatre
So things are great!! Im loving the mission...Im sorry dont kill me... but I dont have a lot to talk about... IVE GOT TOO MUCH!!!!!

This week we had a showing of MEET THE MORMONS in the huge plaza at a huge major movie theatre!! it was super cool! we had investigators come and had 3 menos activos!! it was fantastic! the movie is great!  I enjoyed watching... even tho it was in Spanish! hhaa but now my loving family sent it to me in package and then in itunes!! it was dope!!!!! wahooo!!

Then with the contacting thing we have found 4 great people and two of them have accepted  the fecha to get baptized!!!! Natalia and a guy named Frank! haha well known American name!! it was great! im not going to tell you about them because when i tell you about the good new people they never work out! just pray hard for them!! just know when we found frank he was already ready the book of Mormon! haha so things i hope will work out!!

Other than that things are going up and we are loving the work of the lord family! I am happy to say I have survived a year in the mission if I make it to Thursday and if I make it Friday I TURN 20!!!! haha that's cool huh! but things are great! so now, I just keep submitting myself to the will of the lord!

Also this week the apredizaje is that I learned how to really just bare sincere testimony when I talk with the investigators and the hearts are more open and more willing to recognize me as a servant of God and how God will work in them!! I love it!!

Well that is it! keep loving the family and love God and do his work!!

love you guys  a whole lot!!

HOOLLLAAAA familia, whats good??

So, this week was super good actually.  Kind of.. haha it was super hard.  We walked a ton.  We started out with a great P day.  I have a hair cutting machine that I bought in Cultral Co so I started a barber shop for the missionaries and I cut the homies hair! It was great.  Mom you would be proud of me. ;) P days we usually just play soccer and get some ice cream.  It super good and gets us ready for the week!

This week was good because we are just focused on getting people baptized. We were focused on how to help everyone like less actives and people and members.. .But the president has stressed that our objective is to baptize. So we are just really focusing on talking to investigators and then less actives.  But mostly the Investigators.  Its super awesome and been a super stressful week because we only have like 3 solid progressing investigators so we have been walking around a lot and have been working hard to find new investigators.  Which leads me to some really awesome stories!!

On Thursday we had a good experience with a guy name Gabriel.  He was outside smoking on some lovely cigarettes which are totally bad for you.  But we walked up and asked him how he was.  As a trainer.. I let my comp talk and figure his way around Spanish and the gospel.  It was a little bit rough.. But things worked out.  He started out the conversation as a normal missionary would.. not really knowing where to go... then Gabriel told us.. no I’m not interested... I got filled with the spirit and then, I got super humbled... I just started testifying of the truthfulness of the book of Mormon and how it can give us the tools to fully repent and be cleansed.  Then his son walked out, about 5 yrs old, and it was a perfect opportunity to talk about the plan we have to be with our families for ever.  He then had this huge change of heart.  He humbled himself.  I shared the introduction page with him, he read it silently to himself... and then got a little emotional, and said give me a week.  I will read it.  The change of heart in him was incredible.  I really saw the hand of the Lord work in him and saw his heart fill with the spirit.  Also the truthfulness of working as a companionship, and talking the both of us. That was someithing we struggled with before, because of the language barrier for him. But now we finally understood. We are so excited to work with him. Please pray for him!!

Many experiences to come and many that I have..  Family, I hope I am making you proud.  Sorry dad my emails aren’t the best.  HAHA I just can’t get all the information I want. My hands.... hurt... ;) ahah I will get better.  But just remember that I love you guys! I am doing my best. I will baptize for the lord.  I will bring people unto Christ.  I love you guys!!

Keep it real like always! Like mommy always tells me... TRUST THE Lord AND PRAY ALWAYS!!!

Feburary 24 2015

WHATTTS Up family! its seems like it’s been for ever since I have sent home a good email.  HAHA but I don’t think this week is going to be much better.

I have ended my sweet time in Lago Puelo and I got moved up to the area of where the mission office is.  I have been called to serve as the District leader in Progreso, Neuquen.  annnndddd I am training.  WAHOOO.  My new greenies name is Elder Coyle.  He is from California, Sacramento.  He is super cool, and he is a super body builder guy.  HE is going to get certified as a p90x guy!! DOPEEEE

haha family, I am super great.  I seriously had a harder time leaving Lago Puelo.  IT was my second home.  I feel like half my heart was torn off me.  It really saddened me.  I remember the night we found out about transfers I stayed up all night bathing my pillow. I felt the love of God and the love the investigators and members had for me and I had for the them.  I felt like I had to leave my family a second time.  Mom, no offense, a little harder than leaving you... I loved that pueblo with all my heart.  I hope one day I will be able to return and see them.

Now I have a new journey ahead of me.  I am called to help other missionaries and help the mission progress! I hope prayers are in my way I will need strength to help all these people and be lead by the spirit.

Family, I am sorry I forgot camera, so I will send pictures next week!! Pinky promise!!
PLEASE, continue to pray for the people of Lago Puelo.  Pray for them, that they will be filled with the spirit and will take the covenant of baptism.  I know Lucas will arrive one day to be baptized.  After his daughters get baptized as well.  Thank you so much for caring and praying for me!! I love you guys will all my heart!! I hope things are going well at home!!

Febuary, 9,2015

Ok Argentina, this cant be my son is a soccer uni

So family, this week was GREAT!!!!! Haha. Enough of those loser emails I had a great week.  Sorry for being so dumb.

This week we did a lot.  I went on intercambios with the district leader and we found a great family to start teaching.  We prayed for a miracle to find someone or a family, and it happened.  God answered the prayers.  Her name is Violeta.

I am super great.  This week the spirit was super strong.  The things with my comp got figured out and we just had the spirit accompany us all week.  We started off with a legit district meeting and the spirit just testified super strong.  So I learned a lot more things.  I am super excited about reading the book of Mormon.  I hope all of you guys are still caught up.  I know I have learned so much from the book of Mormon.  I have been reading with the mind of consecration.  My spritualness has gotten stronger and I feel the spirit with me more constantamente.  Literally I am super pumped.  Also we had a zone meeting in Esquel this week and we were taught by the zone leaders from Bariloche.  It was one of the most spiritual conferences I have been too.  The spirit was great.  I love talking about it. I don’t know if you guys remember but when Matt passed, I struggled with the spirit and when the Stake President said I could turn the papers in I was just filled with the spirit and I couldn’t stop smiling.  That is what happened this week.  A huge happy spirit filled week.

So I don’t know if you guys remember the lady named Carla? I taught her with elder Ogden, mi compañero anterior.  And she just had her baby so we letter her cool down for a little.  Well Elder West and I went to her house to check on her.  and we had a huge lesson that the spirit punched everyone in the face.  It was fantastic.  Lately as a mission we have been studying inspired questions, and we put that to practice and it was fantastic.  She set up a date to get baptized. We just need to get her married too... haha Wahoo

Lucas... Rough week with him... He told us he doesn’t want to get married.  So we took a step back this week. He still wants to get baptized... but the love for his wife... has gone... its rough... But we had a good lesson after and we started visiting him more and him we will see what he says tomorrow.  Please pray for him harder!!!!

Love you guys!!!

keep it real

February 2, another hard week

My new bike

Hi Fam.

So this week was one of the hardest weeks I have had in the mission.
A lot of walking and a lot of people not answering there doors.  It was super hard.  But I know there was reason for all things.

Just a heads up, I don’t have a lot of time. I might be cut short again.  But I’m doing still fantastic.  I still love studying.  I have learned a lot lately.  I am staying firm with all the reading.  I hope you guys are as well.
Love this guy

A miracle that happened this week was after super long nights, super long days praying... for a less active family that has a little girl that is ready to get baptized, they finally let us in to talk to them.  First, we just showed our love and our gratitude for letting us in.  Then we just shared some spiritual experiences with them.  Then, they asked us if we would start passing by more because they are doing super bad spiritually.  We jumped for joy because of course we want to help.  So now we have set up some family nights to do with them for the week.  So we are pretty excited for that.

This week, we got evacuated from the pension because there is a huge fire in Lago Puelo that is taking over the whole city.  So we are living in El Boslon.  And we have been praying hard for rain.  This fire has been going on for a solid 5 days now.  And nothing can stop it.  But now, as we have been praying for a miracle, as I am speaking to you right now, it is raining.  It is a miracle.  Please pray for the people in Lago Puelo.  The houses and the places so people can be safe.  Pray for more rain.  Its super crazy and super sad at the same time.  Never thought some city would mean so much to me.
Elder Bastile and me

Other than that we had a conference with the president this week.  It was great and very spiritual.  But honestly one of the most boring things I have ever been to in my life.  Usually they are super fun, but it was sooooo boring.  But I did learn a lot of new things.  Especially that I need to use the Preach my gospel more.  Things are looking up.  I’m super happy for the mission.  I am super happy with the work.  I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Member loves my Hat

I love you guys so much.  I still have a super strong testimony.  THANK YOU PRES: Quesenberry.  HE is always sending me dear elders.   Super inspiring also.

Thank you for your support!

Love ya family

January 26 another day in Paradise.

Our Christmas ties

Hello family,

So this week... it has been a super weird one.  One that I have never had in the mission. Just a lot of trials and good things happened.  Like a friggen roller-coaster.  Its kind of nuts, but its kind of good.  I have learned a lot of myself, and been able to help a lot of people as well.  I’m super grateful.

This week, I really started out trying to consecrate myself.  Really trying to make myself worthy to call on the power of God from the heavens.  So first I want to tell you guys about a lied I made when I was in high school.  I was drifting in the white truck and I totally blew out the tire when I hit the curb... and I told dad the cold air made it flat because it was the dead of the winter.... I was telling that story to my companion and realized I never repented for lying like that..... soooo... sorry dad.  I lied to you about that.  I blew out the tire that one day. I think I paid for it anyway... so we are good! ;) hahahahaha
Zone conference

But this week, I have seen so much of a difference in my spirituality.  I have felt the spirit all day, walking and talking; my language is clearing up and really feels like I can walk with the angels to have that blessing to call upon the heavens.  I am starting to take each week more and more serious! And it is awesome.

Mom asked me if I had problems,  I kind of did, my health hasn’t been the best so I have had to push through that, and really try to follow the will of God.  Things are looking up and I am good as gold.

First, my comp is going through some hard personal problems, and its super hard for him to keep his excitement, but we are working through it together. Please pray for him.  Elder West!
Elder West

Lucas didn’t come to church... I was super bummed about that.  But we taught him really well this week; I just don’t know what else to do. He has all the lessons, everything done; we are just waiting on him to marry. It’s super hard that people have their own agency.  Why can’t they just listen to us.... ugh. Anahi, returned from Buenos Aires, but didn’t come to church either... she is super lost. Super alone, and has depression because of all her friends dropped her because she was  baptized... so please pray for her.  We have two other girls with baptism dates.  Paula and NIlda, please pray for them that they can listen and open their ears.  Paula is super special and wants to get to the celestial kingdom.  So we have super big hope in her!  Please pray for all of them.  Sorry it’s a lot but please do so.

I want you guys to know, that even though things are a little rough, I am still super happy.  I can honestly say I am loving the mission and taking the challenges well.  I am learning as I go so I can become the greatest missionary I can be on the last day.  GET BETTER EVERY DAY:  I am super blessed with the love of the Lord.  He carries me through these hard times and I’m super grateful.  Thank you for your support and your care.  BUT I AM SOOOO GREAT!!!
EL Hombres

Love you guys more than you know!

Sauce from Mom
Wazzzzzuppppp family?
Behold, I say unto you, that I am super good down here in the mission.  Haha i am found myself starting to talk like the book of Mormon because I am like a book worm right now.  I am actually learned a lot right now.  I am currently in 2 n. 12 and just getting into the Isaiah/Nephi.  Man, if you think it is hard in English... wow, I don’t understand things.... ahah but it is super great.  I am learning a lot, and also gain a big trust in God and what he has his servers do.  I am understanding my purpose as a missionary and how important my role is right now.  I am super excited!!!
So this week we have been consecrating on Lucas, kind of like always... haha but we brought up tithing and that is always a hard topic to bring up.  But he accepted well and promised to keep the law of tithing and fasting when he becomes a member of the church of Jesus Christ.  I am super impressed with the testimony he already has.  I am super grateful for the prayers and for the love you guys send through your prayers.  Please keep praying.
This week in my ministry was a little bit normal.  We followed passing out the cards found some good new people.  We have a lot of return dates, but we haven’t really been teaching a lot.  It is a little hard.  The feet are getting tired, yawl know what I mean.  But still we are following the rules and being obedient, I know God has someone out there that he is just preparing and we just need to find him.  Comes with constant pray and fasting.
We had a tsunami in my area this week, well yesterday.  WE ended up with 4 new investigators, and one of them accepted a baptism date.  We are super excited.  We will keep up with them this week and that will be the focus for the week that comes.
This week I want to talk about how important our testimonies are to the world.  Just being a member of the church is not good enough.  We grow testimonies to share them.  It is like growing a huge apple tree and not partaking of the wonderful tasty fruit.  Share and partake of the sprit that it gives.  Bruce R. Mckonkie said, there are two important truths that we need as members of the church.  If we have those things we will prosper.  Those things are a Testimony of Joseph Smith, and of course that Jesus is the Christ.   With this reading the book of Mormon, I encourage you guys to continue praying for a strengthening of your testimonies.   So you all can stand as a witness that Jesus Christ Restored His church Through Joseph Smith.
I love all you guys with all my heart.  I love the mission.
See you all next week.
